Granny Ray’s Kitchen

These recipes have been shared for generations and were compiled in 1982 in a family cook book in celebration of Granny Ray’s 80th birthday. There are still some who remember being in the kitchen with Granny and today her descendants still enjoy these recipes and are creating their own traditions and memories made with the love and wisdom from Granny’s Ray’s kitchen.

Peach Delight

Juice of 3 lemons 2 cans of sweetened condensed milk Stir until thick. Layer in a large 3-quart casserole dish, vanilla wafer, a layer of pudding mix. Arrange 1 large can of sliced, drained peaches over pudding. In between peaches, 1 can drain Mandarin orange slices....

Orange Dump

15¼ oz crushed pineapple 11 oz Mandarin oranges 3 oz orange Jello mix 24 oz cottage cheese 8 oz Cool Chip; thawed Add Jello mix to cottage cheese. Blend in Cool Whip. Drain fruit and add to mixture.

No Bake Holiday Balls

7¼ oz vanilla wafers; crushed ¾ cup powdered sugar ¾ cup coconut ½ cup nuts; finely chopped ½ cup frozen orange juice; thawed but not diluted Mix crumbs, coconut, nuts, and sugar. Add orange juice. Roll in 1" balls. Roll ½ in powdered sugar. Chill. Serve.
