1 yellow cake mix
1 large instant vanilla pudding mix
¼ cup nuts; finely chopped
1 lb strawberry halves
1 (8 oz) Cool Whip

Make and bake cake according to directions in a 13×9 pan. Cut cake in pieces (8 squares for ½ of cake). Split pieces. Put half of the pieces in the bottom of a 2 quart long dish. Pour half strawberries and juice over the cake. Make pudding according to directions. Juice will soak in the cake. Spread on half pudding. Repeat: Cake-berries-pudding. Cover and chill hour or so. Before serving, spoon on Cool Whip. Garnish with strawberries and chopped nuts.
