1 cup sugar
1 ½ cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
½ cup milk
½ cup shortening
1 lemon rind; grated
½ cup pecans
Grease and flour loaf pans. Cream shortening, eggs, and sugar until creamy. Add flour, baking powder, and salt. Then add milk, pecans, lemon rind, and beat until well blended. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
