1 large onion; chopped
1 lb ground beef
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 box tater-tots
Salt and pepper to taste

Scramble and brown beef, add onions and salt and pepper. Put half of the beef in the bottom of a casserole. Layer (completely cover) tater tots, then beef and another layer of tater-tots. Warm soup with ½ can of milk, pour over meat and potatoes. (I like a few bread crumbs mixed with grated cheese on top.) Bake 350° for 35 minutes.
