Melt together 60 caramels and ½ cup Milnot. Mix in a bowl: 1 box german chocolate cake mix; ½ cup nuts; 1 tsp vanilla; ½ cup Milnot; ¾ cup melted oleo. Grease 13×9 pan. Pour in a thin layer of cake mix (not quite ½”). Bake 10 minutes in 350° oven. While hot, spread 6 oz package chocolate chips over cake. Pour on caramel mixture. Sprinkle over ½ cup chopped nuts. Spoon on the rest of the cake mixture and bake for 20 minutes. Top with a dab of Cool Whip.
